Mad About Plaid and Jewel Tones

Here is an outfit that speaks to my love of plaid and  jewel tones, especially burgundy. I love the richness and the warmth of this color; and because of that, these plaid pants had me at hello. The pants' colors, coupled with their lightweight fabric, which are perfect for the mild Los Angeles winters, made them hard to resist... especially at sale time. I spotted them on the first episode of  Will and Grace this season, when Karen wore them with a burgundy sweater. I decided to offset the color with something light, and chose this beautiful cream colored blouse by Paige, which coincidentally, is also on sale.   While rummaging through my closet for the perfect jacket, I found this oldie but goodie by The Row. These burgundy velvet booties were snagged on sale. I could not find them for you, but Sam Edelman makes a cute pair that are so reduced, you simply must check them out!
