Whiten Up

Nothing says summer more than white jeans. Even though the steadfast “only wear white between Memorial and Labor Days” rule has fallen by the wayside, I still tend to wear my white jeans more in the spring and summer than in fall and winter. These J Brand jeans are fabulous; they fit well and have an adorable lace feature on the bottom making them versatile enough to wear either for running errands or attending a brunch. I paired mine with this cheerful blouse by Equipment. I love the colors as they seem to shout "happiness." I just happened to have these sandals by Robert Clergerie from a couple of seasons ago, and they pick up the colors of the top beautifully. I ditched the expected white belt for a navy one. It gives the outfit more definition and interest, and it ties in with the navy shoes.  If you don’t already own a white bag,  do yourself a favor and get one. It’s a fresh accessory for the summer and you will be amazed at how much use you will get out of it. I have found a couple for you to choose from in a variety of price points. Whitening up for summer starts now, and I am definitely doing just that!
