You Never Know
/The temperatures soared here this past week, and we were treated to 80-90 degree days. Suddenly everyone donned their summer skirts and dresses.
I happened to be running an errand at The West Side Pavilion Mall, when I spotted this fabulous Aztec like print skirt on a mannequin in the window of Forever 21. I literally stopped dead in my tracks, did a double take, and made a B line for the rack with the skirts. I admit that the slit on the side seemed a little risqué for someone my age, but the sales people assured me that it wasn’t that high (well not if you are 18 and wear your skirts to just below your crotch!), and I decided that with a little sweep to the side and tug in the downwards direction, I could pull it off. Best of all is the $36.00 price!
Pairing it with my all-purpose loose fitting sleeveless blouse by Los Angeles designer Peter Cohen, keeps me cool and comfortable. A Marni necklace, from years gone by, and a handbag by Celine in the exact colors of the skirt, seemed destined to join in on the fun.
Let me remark on these new sandals by Stuart Weitzman. Not only are they transparently cool and chic, but they are incredibly comfortable. I wore them all day with no “new shoe remorse!”
You never know, but now you do!
