White Suit Can Jump
/Every great once in a while, the fashion gods and the shopping stars are in perfect alignment and a true kismet moment is at play. This was the case a couple of months ago when I found myself barricaded in a dressing room with a whole bunch of clothes at the Bloomingdale’s sale. During a lull, I happened to glance over at the dressing room rack and my eyes fell upon a gorgeous white jumpsuit by Theory. I looked inside to see whether a) was it on sale, and b) was it my size? Affirmative on both counts! I tore off my clothes and tried it on. Low and behold, it fit perfectly. Although it is such a specific piece, I knew of an event that Jeff and I would soon be attending at our Temple, so I bought it without any regrets!
I love the simplicity and modesty, if you will, of the front, juxtaposed with the low back and strap detail of the back. By adding these Jimmy Choo gold sandals and Mulberry clutch, both purchased on sale at Intermix, and these fabulous Henri Bendel gold earrings, the outfit really came to life! More importantly is the fact that I felt beautiful and glamorous in it. After all, as the saying goes, it is not what you wear but how you wear it. In this case, the white suit made my jump for joy!
