A Near White Out
/Sandro dress, Bally handbag, Manolo Blahnik heels (similar here), Chanel bracelet, Ryan Ryan (The Jewelry Bar) necklace.
In the past, I shied away from all white dresses, thinking that they were limited to summer and definitely not for eating! All that changed for me when we moved to LA and the rules about white changed dramatically. I also wear white on the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur, when it is traditionally acceptable to do so. I will add, however, that when I do wear white, I like to have a little color, and I will up the ante on the glow factor.
I purchased these fabulous heels at a major shoe sale in Napa last December. I fell in love with them instantly, and their 75% reduced sale price made it impossible to imagine living without them. You will never catch me in an all white outfit, I find it a bit monotonous. These shoes and handbag, in pale pink, maintain the lightness of the look without being overbearingly loud in color. The next time you are looking for a way to break up an all white ensemble, try using pastel colors to keep everything soft and pretty...and just a near white out.
